The study tour is organized together with the department of Civil Engineering of the faculty of Engineering Technology at the University of Twente. The department of Civil Engineering mainly focuses on the integration of management and civil engineering. In the master track, this is split into four study fields:
- Construction Management and Engineering
- Integrated Civil Engineering Systems
- Water Engineering and Management
- Transport Engineering and Management
The University of Twente is a Dutch research university where technical developments and their importance to individuals and society are at the forefront. One of the key selling points of the University of Twente is the ‘High Tech – Human Touch’ approach, where the educational and research focus is not only on technology (High Tech), but also on the societal impact of this technology (Human Touch). This ideal is interweaved in the educational program of the University of Twente. The programs are split into modules of 10 weeks each. These modules include theoretical knowledge, but also address real-world cases where the theoretical knowledge is put into practice. Through this approach, students are well prepared for their work field.
