About the Hydroinformatics institute
The Hydroinformatics Institute (H2i) is a Singapore-based knowledge company that combines state-of-the-art computing with machine learning and artificial intelligence, to realize potential of Big Water Data. We do this on the cloud, in real time and across the entire hydrological cycle. H2i develops and applies technology-enabled, digital solutions to some of the world’s most pressing water-related challenges. Our products and services help clients harness the power of data, advanced analytics, and modelling to unlock insights at the global, regional, and local levels. The team’s expertise spans hydrodynamic modelling, water quality modelling of inland and coastal water systems, weather management, radar experts and operational management systems. H2i is behind various landmark water management projects in Singapore, but also operates abroad including projects in Brunei, Oman, Sri Lanka, Philippines, Malaysia, Kazakhstan, India, Cambodia, Vietnam and the Balkans.
Our consulting team leverages data analytics, computer modelling and simulations and advisory and reporting to help both public and private clients understand what is at stake and how to plan for it. This means being able to make better environment and developmentrelated decisions, and proactively manage climatological, environmental and socio-economic events, from increased rainfall to oil spills, in real time. In addition to this, our customised digital products allow our clients to apply the insights gleaned from advanced analytics to gain a competitive edge, and to better manage risk and opportunities.
